The Gavia, Stelvio and Forcola Passes are only open in summer.
Major airports are Milan (Linate and Malpensa) and Bergamo.
The rail terminal is at Tirano (Retiche and State Railways).
Tirano is 40 km away, buses connect with the trains arriving from Milan Central Station.
